From Berlin und Leipzig
All guests who come from Berlin or Leipzig to Rostock by train we recommend to take the InterConnex. It's cheaper (Berlin-Rostock from 14,-€), faster and more comfortable than the Deutsche Bahn.
From central station
with tram (approx. 5 minutes)
> in the basement take tram number 4, 5 or 6 towards city center up to
> station “IHK/Steintor” (2 stops)
> cross the crossing
> walk besides of the historical Gate (the Steintor)
> turn right across the tram rails into "Beginenberg" (behind the little asia booth, right of the "Infocity" store)
> after 30 metres you'll find the Jellyfish Hostel
by foot (approx. 10 minutes)
> leave the station out the main entrance (north)
> straight through the roundabout
> follow "Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse" and thereafter Richard-Wagner-Strasse until you can see straight the historical Gate, the Steintor
> walk besides the Steintor
> turn right across the tram rails into "Beginenberg" (behind the little asia booth, right of the "Infocity" store)
> after 30 metres you'll find the Jellyfish Hostel
By car
from direction Berlin (Autobahn A19)
> take exit "Rostock-SĂĽd" (No 7), drive in direction "Rostock Zentrum"
> straight on for a couple of kilometres
> on the first huge crossing (where you can the "Ostsee-Zeitung" building)
> turn right
> straigth on, left of the historical gate (Steintor), don't turn left following the road!
> at the market place (Neuer Markt) turn right into "Grosse Wasserstrasse" (nothing else possible)
> after there was a pharmacy ("Apotheke") on the right side (red signs) turn right up into the Beginenberg
> after 50 metres on the right side there is the Jellyfish Hostel
from direction Hamburg (Autobahn A 20)
> take exit "Rostock-SĂĽdstadt" (No 15), turn in direction of Rostock
> straight on until no more possible
> turn right into "SĂĽdring"
> turn on the first huge crossing right into "August-Bebel-Strasse" (where you can see straigt on left a large modern building "Deutsche Med")
> when you can see after a green area the historical city gate "Steintor" turn left into "Steinstrasse" (straight on right you can see the large new building of "Ostsee-Zeitung")
> straight on, left of the Steintor (don't turn left following the road!)
> at the market place (Neuer Markt) turn right into "Grosse Wasserstrasse" (nothing else possible)
> after there was a pharmacy ("Apotheke") on the right side (red signs) turn right up into the Beginenberg
> after 50 metres on the right side is the Jellyfish Hostel
from direction Stralsund (B105, L22)
> drive into the city until you can see the city port (Stadthafen) on the right side
> when you see the large brick-built store-house where is written "Getreide AG" on the right, turn left into "Grubenstrasse"
> straight on until you see a small steel bridge on the right sdie
> follow the hairpin curve (don't take the underpass) and directly
> left into "Beginenberg"
> after 50 metres on the right side is the Jellyfish Hostel
From "Ăśberseehafen" (ferry port)
with public transport
> take bus 49 up to Station „Dierkower Kreuz“
> change at „Dierkower Kreuz “ to tram number 1 or 2 up to station „IHK/Steintor“.
> cross the crossing
> walk besides of the historical Gate (the Steintor)
> turn right across the tram rails into "Beginenberg" (behind the little asia booth, right of the "Infocity" store)
> after 30 metres you'll find the Jellyfish Hostel

From airport Rostock-Laage
By airport shuttle bus 127 a few times daily up to station “Steintor” (for more information please have a look on www.rvk-rostock.de)

5 minutes walk to central station.
